  • Preheat the oven at 160-degree centigrade.
  • Take a round shaped cake tin of 15 cm and an ovenproof pudding basin made of glass. Grease both of them and cover the base with a parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter, vanilla, salt, and sugar with the help of an electric mixer till the mixture becomes fluffy and pale. Now add the eggs one by one and keep stirring continuously. Pour the yogurt and beat everything very well. You can add 1 tbsp of flour if the mixture becomes too thin.
  • Add both plain flour and also self-raising flour to this mixture and give them a good mix using a metal spoon.
  • Now pour this cake batter both in the cake tin as well as pudding basin. Put of them inside the oven and bake them for about 1 hour 50 minutes.
  • When done, take them out and let them cool completely before proceeding with the icing.

For Icing

Beat the icing sugar with butter. Cut the cake of the glass basin into 3 parts and scoop out the center of each using a round cutter.

Now take the cake board and keep 1 part of the cake and cover it with butter icing. Place the second part and repeat the same. Now place the third part on top of it and cover it with the remaining icing.

Take white fondant icing and make a frill with it for attaching to the cake base. Now create a large circle by rolling out the pink icing and make a hole at the center.

Cover the cake with this icing. To give a swagged look, push up the pink fondant at regular intervals. Use the edible luster to spray it. Take the doll and put it into this cake. The cake will end at the waist of the doll.

Make a large bow with the remaining white icing to attach at the back of the doll waist.

Now make the royal icing and cover the doll with this with the help of a piping bag. Attach the sugar butterfly at the bodice, and the icing rose at the waist to give it a royal effect.
