Christmas Cake is a favorite dish for everyone, and it is an imperial part of Christmas also, the whole occasion is almost incomplete without it. Cake has become an integral part of all of our happy times. Some bakery chef says that baking is their passion; some states it is their artwork therapy. They often show some intricate designs as well, and some are homemade, which are maybe not that fashionable at all but loaded with love and affection of our elders. Our oldest Christmas and Halloween memories are also all about cakes and baking.
The cake originally came from a version of bread and went way back. To be more precise, it came from sweet food and some milk with it. The cake we see and eat now is now improved and evolved version of delicious milky bread. There are many sizes and colors and forms of cake jam right now.
We will give you two recipes one is easiest or beginners, another is a little complex for birthday ideas. However, there are almost flooding of methods in here. We will make a lemon cake and theme based cake in the following article.
Christmas Cake Recipe
First, take a large pan and combine the following ingredients all together. We need water, dried fruit, butter, cinnamon, and marmalade, all mixed up in a large pot and boil together. After all the ingredients mixed well, remove from the oven and let it cool a bit. Now, preheat your oven in 120 degrees and the meantime take another broad bowl. Add some condensed milk, baking soda, two cups flour, 1tsp rum, and a pinch of baking powder and whisk well again.
After this, mix both bowl ingredients and take the baking tray. Add some butter paper and pour this mixture on it. Then bake for almost an hour, and your authentic Christmas slice cake is ready. Glaze and decorate with creamy syrup and serve. You can also slice it in small squares before serving in case of a large family gathering.
For theme based cake, take a deep and large bowl and add the flour and baking powder and mix it. Then add a pinch of salt and baking soda and whisk again and add the eggs, vegetable oil and whipped cream altogether to another bowl, and while mixing, gently add powdered sugar and stir continuously until the consistency is right. Then add lemon zest and little warm water before adding the liquidy mix with the powdered mix. After adding add some vanilla flavor and greek yogurt and stir continuously.
Now for the cream layering, add some whipped cream and powdered sugar and whisk together. Now take an oiled baking pan and preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Add the cake mix to the oiled pan and put it to the oven. Check for consistency and so that the upper crust is golden brown, not black. That is going to ruin your cake. Then just put it in theme mold, and it is ready.
